Mrs. Jim Halmontaller, 62, sister of Mrs. Elmo Harwell, died Wednesday morning, May 22, in Bedford County General Hospital, Shelbyville.
Services were held at 2:30 p. m. Thursday, May 23, in the chapel of Howell-Thompson Funeral Home. Burial was in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.
A native of Giles County, Mrs. Halmontaller was the former Nannie Lou Bascomb, daughter of the late Erastus C. and Dora Pack Bascomb of the Pisgah community.
In addition to her sister, survivors include her husband; two sons, Harold W. Halmontaller of Nashville and James Edward Halmontaller , Shelbyville; three brothers, Oakes C. Bascomb, Mt. Vernon, Ohio, Jesse C. Bascomb, Newark, Ohio, and S. C. Bascomb, St. Louis, Mo.; one other sister, Mrs. A. C. Sweeney, Lewisburg; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
