Lillian May Adkins was born in Beaumont, Jefferson Co., TX (Lillian told me Beaumont, one of her dau's says Saratoga) to the parents of Benjamin L. Adkins and Minnie Mae George. She was their first child. Shortly after her birth her parents moved to Wetumka, Hughes Co., OK where she grew up and was schooled. She met and married her only husband Opal Cullins "O.C." To this union were five children born 1) Evelyn Lorene 2) Donald Ray 3) Patricia Ann 4) Charles Cullins & 5) Mary Jane Kirkpatrick. The first two children were born in Wetumka. After 1930, O.C. and Lillian moved to Wanette, Pottawatomie Co., OK where they lived the remainder of their lives in the same house next to the School in town. The rest of their children were born in that house. Lillian's husband died in 1952 and she never remarried.
