Clarence served his country in WW II as a B-24 Commander and Liberator Pilot in the U.S. Army Air Corps and retired as an Air Force Reserve Major. He served his community on the Zoning Boards of Port Neches and Nederland, Texas; as a
City Councilman and Mayor of Nederland, and President of the Mid County Municipal League.
C.R. was the valedictorian of Lyford High School, graduated from Texas A&M University with a degree in Mechanical Engineering, was Construction Engineer for Texaco and Union Oil, was Coordinator of Construction of the Talladega Motor Speedway, and was Chief Inspector of the Beaumont Refinery of Union Oil.

C.R was preceded in death of his parents and his brother, Kenneth Mostyn, Sr.
