Obituary for Kenneth A. Mostyn
Funeral services for Kenneth A. Mostyn will be Thursday, August 20. 2015 at 2:00 P.M.at the Lexington United Methodist Church. Burial will follow in the Lexington Cemetery.

Visitation will be Wednesday from 5 until 8 P.M. at the church in Lexington. Serving as pall bearers will be, Jeff Ralston, Jake Mostyn, Matthew Ralston, Alex Krohn, Russell Schimank, Chris Bayer, Tom Bonner, and Bradley Dame. The family requests that those desiring to make memorials please do so to the Lexington United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 116, Lexington, Texas 78947.
Kenneth Mostyn was born on September 2, 1931 in Waco, Texas to Clarence Russell Mostyn and Dora (Smith) Mostyn. Kenneth and Amelia Saunders were united in marriage on June 2, 1950 in Waco, Texas. To this union four children were born. Kenneth and Amelia lived in various locations in accordance with his employers. They resided in Texas City while he worked for Monsanto, Rockdale and Lexington while the maintenance Manager at IGC, Mt. Pleasant and Martin Lake in Henderson while with Texas Utilities. Kenneth was a very active member at the Lexington United Methodist Church and held various responsibilities such as Sunday School Superintendent, Pastor-parish relations Committeeman, and many more. Kenneth served on the Lexington School Board, was a master plumber, was president of IBEW 2078 in Rockdale, served on the Lexington Economic Development Board, and was a boy scout leader and instrumental in starting a troop in Lexington. He was named citizen of the year in Lexington for all his public service.
Kenneth died Saturday, August 15, 2015 in a Longview Hospital at the age of 83. He was preceded in death by his wife, Amelia "MooMoo" Mostyn on June 17, 2010 and his parents.

He is survived by sons, Kenneth Mostyn, Jr. and wife, Barbara of Lexington and Craig Mostyn and his wife Patty of Henderson; daughters, Cindy Rachall and husband Ricky of Fairfield and Lee Ann Furfey and husband John of Seoul, South Korea; grandchildren, Courtney Schimank and husband Russell of Lexington, Anna Bayer and husband Chris of Lexington, Amelia Dame and husband Bradley of Henderson, Jacob Mostyn and wife Hailey of Henderson, Molly Mostyn of Henderson, Laura Bonner and husband Tom of Fairfield, Jeff Ralston of Dallas, Matthew Ralston and fiancée Michelle of College Station, Alex Krohn of Conroe, and Marlee Krohn of College Station; great-grandchildren, Kaden, Mason, Julia, Emilia, Hadleigh, Brant, Abbey, Kason, Amelia, Knox, Kenneth, Sutton, Emi, and Rynna; brothers, C.R. Mostyn and wife Joyce of Port Arthur and Claude Mostyn and wife Sheryl of Allen; and sister, Doris Roberts of Lo
