Passed away on Friday, January 13th, 2012 after a year-long battle with Pulmonary Fibrosis at her home in Fairfield, WA. Claire, who was also known as "Marty" to her friends and "Daisy" to her extended family members, was 69.
Claire was preceded in death by her husband George Boleck and her five brothers and sisters. She is survived by her four children, Marie LaMarch (Spokane Valley), Dan Benoun (Las Vegas), John Boleck (Rockford) and Jennifer Waddell (Fairfield); her son-in-law Scott Waddell (Fairfield); daughter-in-law Missy Boleck (Rockford); grandchildren Brittany Benoun, Josh Boleck, Clarissa Schunke, Casey LaMarche, Sophia Boleck and great-grandchildren Breven and Chayden Boleck.
Claire was born in Hollywood, CA and attended Catholic school before marrying her first husband, Dave Benoun. Married again to George in the late '60s, they moved to the Spokane Valley in the mid '70s and eventually moved to Fairfield. In her younger years, in addition to being a wife and mother, Claire also worked as a caregiver to the elderly. She enjoyed being on the City of Fairfield's Planning Committee and being involved in the Annual Flag Day festivities. Claire loved to spend time with her friends JeriKay and Darlene and loved to visit the local casino on occasion. She was an avid reader and an expert at crossword puzzles. She loved her dogs, Bonnie and Blue and her cats too, Coco and Puss.
Visitation will be at 6:00 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 21, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Rockford followed by burial at the Fairfield Cemetery, where she will be laid to rest next to her beloved George.
A reception will be held at the Fairfield Community Center following the graveside.
