Mrs. Mary Etta Acord Callaway, 83, of Raleigh, formerly of Naoma, died Tuesday evening in a Beckley hospital after a long illness.

Born Jan. 21, 1892, at Dry Creek, she was a daughter of the late David S. and Zora Clay Bone.

She was a member of the Raleigh Community Church. Two husbands, John P. Acord and George W. Callaway preceded her in death.

Survivors include four daughters, Ruth (Mrs. Lewis) Goyvoi of Naomi, Esther (Mrs. Willis) Hendricks of Shady Spring, Mrs. Velma Beane of West Palm Beach, Fla., and Vione (Mrs. Wiley) O'Neal of Sparta, Tenn.; two stepdaughters, Imogene (Mrs. Clarence) Griffith of Daniels and Miss Betty Callaway of London, Ky.; One stepson, Robert Callaway of Daniels; two sisters, Sarah (Mrs. Harve) Bonds of Arnett and Radie (Mrs. Luster) Ash of Summerfield, Fla.; one brother, Lacy Bone of Dry Creek; one stepbrother, Joe Cantley of Crab Orchard; 13 grandchildren and 34 great-granchildren.

The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Thursday in the Armstrong Funeral Home Chapel at Whitesville with Rev. L.A. Garten in charge. Burial will be in Adkins Cemetery.
