Don C. Cole, of Chesterton, died Monday, February 3, 2003. He was 81.

He was born September 21, 1921 in Chesterton, the son of Valentine and Loretta (Brown) Cole, who preceded him in death.

He was also preceded in death by his wife Hazel R. Cole, on December 18, 2001.

He is survived by three children, Kerry Cole of Indianapolis, Kirk Cole of Chesterton and Kim (Mark) Glassley of Westville; four grandchildren, Adrian (Mary) Cole of Indianapolis, Whitney Cole of Valparaiso and Charlene and Nicole Glassley, both of Westville and a brother, Lee Cole of Chesterton.

He was preceded in death by his brother Jack Cole.

He was an electrical engineer and a veteran of WWII having served in the U.S. Navy. He was a member of Liberty Bible Church and a member of Calumet Masonic Lodge #379 F&AM Chesterton. He was a Boy Scout Leader for many years and he enjoyed woodworking.

A memorial service will be held at a later date. Cremation will be at Calvary Crematory, Portage.

There will be no visitation.

Arrangements are under the direction of White-Love Funeral Home, Chesterton.

Memorials may be given to Kid's Alive, 2507 Cumberland Dr., Valparaiso, IN 46383.
