Vera A. Alexander, 86, of San Angelo passed away Thursday, March 9, 2006, in a local care center.
Vera was born April 21, 1919, in Hermleigh, Texas, to Alfred and Adella Fargason Crumley. She retired from GTE and was a homemaker.
She was a member of Southland Baptist Church and a resident of San Angelo since 1953.
Vera was married to Robert E. Alexander on July 28, 1940, in Levelland, Texas.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers Horace and Gerald Crumley; and sister Irene Simmons.
Survivors include her husband, Robert E. Alexander of San Angelo; her daughter, Lisa Ann Bird and husband David of Valrico, Fla.; granddaughter Jordan Bird of Valrico, Fla.; brother Fred Crumley of San Antonio, Texas; and several nieces and nephews.
