Ben Cravens moved west to MO/IA with his father in law John Watkins in the late 1850s but returned to KY for a short time during the war. After settling in Wayne Co. IA. after the war he once again moved west with his brother in law W.C. Watkins to KS. stayed a short time and then returned to Wayne Co. IA. where he stayed until his death.
He married Louisa J. Watkins abt. 1856 in KY and they had twelve children. Names were, Frances, William, Julia, John, Naomi, Elijah, Sophia, Benjamin,George, Walter, Daniel and Milan.
