The youngest of four children, Don was raised along with his brothers and sister in the loving family of Joseph and Helen Cunningham in San Bruno.
He shared many wonderful stories of adventures with his siblings and excelled in sports especially baseball. He was a star pitcher for San Mateo High School and continued at the semi-pro level playing for the Burlingame Cardinals and the Pantages Candy Store 9. He also loved horseracing beginning when he and his brothers would sell newspapers at Tanforan Race Track.
In high school he met Pauline, the love of his life, and they enjoyed 62 wonderful years of marriage. He has two sons Kenn and Paul. Beloved daughter-in-law Elaine and two adored grandchildren Cristiana and Alexander.
His intelligence, quick wit, integrity and compassion will be sadly missed but we are all the better because we were touched by his goodness and love...and he was a snappy dresser.
