Clifford "Tip" A. Bendorf, 69, of Trenton, died at Wood River Township Hospital, Wood River, Sunday Aug. 19, 1984.
He was born Nov. 22, 1914, in Ellis Grove to George and Elizabeth Montroy Bendorf, then married Gennevieve Ziesset Nov. 15, 1952, in Trenton. He was a mechanic at ABJ Ford in Trenton and a World War II veteran.
Survivors include his wife; daughter Cheryl Hallett of Las Vegas; son Timothy Bendorf of Trenton; brothers Richard of Trenton, Roland of Hagarman, Ida., and William of Wilcox, Neb; sister Ester Neuman of O'Fallon; and two grandchildren.
Services were held at 11 a.m. Aug 21, at Moss Funeral Home, Trenton, with Father Clem Dirler officiating, and burial was at St. Mary's Cemetery. Visitation was held Monday evening.
