Bethina Carter Edwards, 91, formerly of Raleigh, died Tuesday, March 22, 2005, at the Masonic and Eastern Star Home in Greensboro. Bethina was born in Wake County Jan. 4, 1914, to the late Ed C. Carter and Charlottie Young Carter. Mrs. Edwards is survived by a son, Gerald Stewart Edwards of Raleigh; four brothers, Thomas Carter of Garner, Elbert Carter of Carthage, Kermit Carter of Raleigh and Edward Carter of Cochran, Ga.; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Raymond Alfred Edwards; a son, John Alfred Edwards; a brother, Fred Carter; and a sister, Lucy Timberlake. The funeral was held March 26, 2005, at L. Harold Poole Funeral Service Chapel. Burial was at Restlawn Memorial Gardens
