She was born May 29, 1925, in Anderson. She was a homemaker and at one time worked for Guide Lamp for 9 ½ years in the 1940s.
She was a member of Main Street Church of God and a very active member of the Jackson Park Church of God. She was also a member of the Women Church of God Fellowship.
Survivors include son, Jeffrey D. (wife, Ellen) Pierce of Pendleton; daughter, Pauline F. Fulp and companion Layman Norris of Columbia, Ky.; grandchildren, Amy (husband, Chris) Davis of Noblesville, Jada Pierce of Pendleton, and Melissa (husband, Hobby) Richard and Kelley Ford, both of Columbia, Ky.; great grandchildren, Roger W. Richard of Columbia, Ky.; two sisters, Mary Rheabelle (husband, Glenis) Crose and Judy (husband, Rev. Glenn) Skinner, all of Anderson; four brothers, Raymond E. Ashby, Marvin L. Ashby and Max S. Ashby, all of Anderson, and Michael K. (wife, Louise) Ashby of Springfield, Mo.; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 45 years. Harry Dallas Pierce in 1991.
Services will be 1 pm Wednesday at Main Street Church of God with the Rev. Glenn Skinner officiating. Burial will be in East Maplewood Cemetery.
Visitation will be 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm today at Brown-Butz-Diedring Funeral Home.
