Mrs. Kathi Williamson Addison, of 316 Hallsborough Drive, West Columbia, died Monday, March 21, 2005, at her residence after a long and brave battle with cancer.

The funeral will be held at 4 p.m. Thursday, March 24, at St. John's United Methodist Church, Norway, with the Rev. James McGee and the Rev. Mark Altman officiating. Burial will be in Norway Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Nick Foster, Michael Nussbaum, Ron Glancy, Eddie Zeigler, Coker Fogle, Charles Bair and Joey Williamson. Honorary pallbearer will be the Honorable Luke Brown

She was born Jan. 7, 1945, in Denmark, a daughter of Doris Williamson and the late W.T. "Charlie" Williamson. Mrs. Addison was a graduate of Norway High School and later received an associate degree from Midlands Technical College. Prior to her retirement due to illness, she had worked as a court reporter for the State of South Carolina for 10 years. Her work took her all over the state, and she will always be remembered by people she befriended wherever she went.

In addition to her mother of Norway, she is survived by her husband, Fred Addison of West Columbia; a son, Sean Gibson of Hong Kong; a daughter and son-in-law, Paige and Ryan Price of Niceville, Fla; a granddaughter, Faith Price; two sisters, Ellen Edwards of Fort Lawn and Jean Chavis of West Columbia; a brother, Tommy Williamson of Orangeburg; a stepdaughter, Dana Addison of Columbia; four nieces, Connie Wannamaker of Lexington, Teresa Brown and Angela Johnson of Fort Lawn and Jamie Anderson of Moncks Corner; three nephews, Steven Zeigler of St. Matthews, Eddie Zeigler of Chapin and Todd Binnicker of Easley; and many cousins and special friends whom she considered part of her extended family.

The family would like to express sincere appreciation to Dr. Leland McElveen and his staff at Columbia Oncology Associates and Dr. Henry Friedman and his staff at the Duke Medical University Brain Tumor Center.

Memorials may be sent to St. John#,s United Methodist Church for the Memorial Garden Fund.
