Eize Koopman married on 20 March 1920 in her birthplace Bristow, Butler County, Iowa at the age of 19 years to the nine years older Jerry Aneweer.
On 15 November 1920 their first child was born, Irene Lena, in Pittsford, Butler County, Iowa.
Her husband and farmer Jerry Leep died in 1970 in Plainwell, Allegan County at the age of 77 years. Eize died in 1989 at the age of 87 years at her home in Shelbyville, in Allegan County too, when the gas stove she was using exploded. The explosion moved the house off the foundation. Source: K.
