Dennis R. Curtis, Abingdon Chapel age 55 of Abingdon, died at 9:19 pm Wednesday, April 3, 2013 at the Williamsfield Retirement Center in Williamsfield.
He was born on May 27, 1957 in Galesburg, the son of John Henry and Rosemary Anne (Hilfrink) Curtis. His parents preceded him in death as did one brother, Johnny Curtis.
Dennis is survived by two sisters, Mary Jo (and Jerry) Moshier of Abingdon and Teresa Edgar of East Peoria; one brother, Randall (and Carol) Curtis of St. Petersburg, Florida. He is also survived by nieces and nephews and their families.
He had lived at the Jacksonville Developmental Center in Jacksonville, Illinois for several years and recently moved to the Williamsfield Retirement Center in Williamsfield. He was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Abingdon.
Funeral service will be held at 10:30 am Monday, April 8, 2013 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Abingdon. Rev. William Miller I.C. will officiate. Burial will follow in the Abingdon Cemetery. There will be no visitation. Hinchliff-Pearson-West Abingdon Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
