She was born on June 3, 1914 in Hanover, In to Forrest K. and Elizabeth N. (Lawson) Morton and spent her youth in Wisconsin, California and Indiana before moving to the family farm in Bentonville in 1946.
She was a graduate of Rushville High School in 1932 where she was Valedictorian. After graduation she worked as a bookkeeper for Production Credit where she met her husband Kenneth in 1939. She also worked at Bentonville Grain Elevator as a bookkeeper.
Survivors include children David M. (Marti)Caldwell, Patricia C. (Rick) Slack and Charles W. (Peggy) Caldwell; 6 grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Kenneth T. Caldwell in 2007; sister Ann Brimberry and brother Clarence Morton.
