Torbrook Mines - Aubrey William Crouse, 88, of Torbrook Mines, Annapolis County, Nova Scotia, died at Kingston, Kings County, on Sunday, January 11, 1976. He was born on December 29, 1888, and was a farmer during his lifetime. He attended the United Baptist Church, Torbrook, and was a veteran of the 1st World War. He is survived by two step-daughters, Edith (Mrs. Stronach), Forest Glade; Edna (Mrs. Ashley Myers), Noel; son, Aubrey of Torbrook Mines; step-sons, James Evans, Shubenacadie; William Evans, Springfield, Mass.; Mrs. Nellie Barteaux, Kingston, Mrs. Elsie MacMasters, Kingston, seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by two brothers, two sisters, and his wife. The body rested at the Warren T. Roop Funeral Home, Middleton, from where the funeral service was held on Wednesday, January 14, 1976 at 3 p.m., with Rev. Ron Baxter officiating. Interment was in Torbrook Mines Cemetery. Donations in memory of the late Aubrey Crouse may be made to the Torbrook Churches.
