Hilda A. Baca Dieringer, 92, passed away December 19. She was born May 21, 1917, in Engle to Joseph F. Linhart and Amalia Sbrusch Linhart. She was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church, where she served on the Altar Society and was a member of the Catholic Dauaghters. Hilda enjoyed gardening and sewing and quilted with the Holy Family Quilters. She was proud to be a foster grandparent at the Richmond State School over the course of many years. Hilda passed away Saturday, Dec. 19, 2009 in Wharton.

She is preceded in death by her husband Jerome Ervin Baca; parents, Joseph and Amalia Linhart; brothers Albert, Herbert and Henry Linhart; sons-in-law Zigmund Pospisil and Leroy Kocian, Sr.; grandson Kevin Pospisil; and great-grandchildren Luke Ryan Kocian, Kara Fikes and Contrice Marie Vesekla.

Hilda is survived by children Delores Baca Kocian of Wharton, Daniel Joseph Baca and wife Barbara of Needville, Henrietta Millie Baca Popisil of Sugar Land, John Charles Baca and wife Linda of Wharton, Barbara Annie Baca Veselka and husband Paul of Schulenburg, and Bernice Mary Baca Fikes and husband Thomas of Lolita; siblings Leo Linhart of Houston, Daniel Linhart of El Campo, and Alvin Linhart of Sugar Land; sister-in-law Millie Linhart of Deer Park; 21 grandchildren; along with numerous other family members and many friends.
