Juel was born on August 18, 1930 in Medford, one of three children of the late Arthur W. Fonda and Mildred (Swett) Fonda. Raised in Malden and Melrose, Juel graduated from Melrose High School, Class of 1948 and from the Katherine Gibbs Secretarial School. On October 28, 1950, she married her devoted husband Rev. Dr. Milton L. Boyle, Jr. and they shared many happy years of a loving marriage.
Juel and Milton lived in Melrose and later moved to Westwood. After raising their son and daughter, Juel began working as a secretary at United Fruit Co., Pollard Middle School in Needham, and finally at Milton Academy serving as the Assistant to the Headmaster. Throughout these years, she became active at the Beth Eden Baptist Church in Waltham, where Milton served as Pastor beginning in 1977. She enjoyed her membership on several committees and built many lasting relationships over their 28 years.
During her leisure time, Juel loved sewing, knitting, crafts, and doing jigsaw puzzles. Later in life, she also grew a fondness for Cape Cod while visiting her parent's antique store "Fonda's Antiques" in Harwich Port. She loved her many cats, and leaves 3 remaining to keep Milton busy. Above all else, she cherished her time with her husband, two children, four grandchildren and great-granddaughter.
She was preceded in death by her sister Jane Fonda and her grandchild Ande Manners Boyle
Interment in Lakeview Cemetery, Wayland.
