Lucinda Mari Burnett, 47, of Yates Center, formerly of Berryton, passed away on March 8, 2013 as the result of a car accident. She was born July 17, 1965 in Wichita, the daughter of Irl and Pauline Kruger George.

She graduated from Shawnee Heights High School and received an Associate degree from Allen County Community College.

Lucinda married Eric L. Burnett in February, 1996. He survives.

Other survivors include one daughter, Melinda (Cody) Recob of Scranton, three grandchildren, Claire, Brittney and Jacob, her parents, Irl and Pauline George of Carbondale.

Lucinda was preceded in death by her brother, Richard George on September 12, 2010.

Memorial services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday at Penwell-Gabel Southeast Chapel where the family will receive friends one hour prior to service time. Graveside inurnment will follow in Pleasant Hill Cemetery southeast of Topeka. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the Kansas Children's League, 3545 SW 5th St., Topeka, KS 66606.
