Frank Sholes, 78 died Friday, March 18, 2005 at Blue Ridge Hospice Residential Center, Winchester. He was the son of William H. and Dolly Harper Sholes. On Nove. 13, 1948 in Weston, he married the former Eloise Johnson, who survives. He is survived by daughter Darlene Wheeler of Berryville, Va; son, Bruce Sholes of Hampton Cove, Ala.; one sister, Willa Means, two brothers, Wilfred Sholes and Ronald D. Sholes; eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Alfreda Klicker and Charlotte Sholes. He was employed at A&P Grocery Store and McGruders Grocery Store, Vienna, Va., as a produce and meat manager. He had 20 years of military service, having served as a Captain in the U.S. Army during World War II then as a Battery Commander in the Army Reserves. Private service will take place at a later date. Jones Funeral Home, Winchester, Virginia in charge of arrangements.
