Joe Andrew Alvarez passed away on Monday, Feb. 25, 2013 at the age of 74. He was born in Bebe, Texas to the late Jose and Ramona Rodriguez Alvarez. He married Manuela Gonzales on January 6, 1958 in Luling.
They were later divorced and he moved to Gonzales, where he was a truck driver and a member of the Gonzales V.F.W. Post 4817 and the Gonzales American Legion.
He spent may years serving in the Army National Guard in Luling.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two daughters, Pauline Alvarez and Jewell Ann Flores.
Interment will follow at the Luling Community Cemetery. Not buried there.
