Lorraine Bowie, age 82, was born in Kansas City, Missouri, on December 18, 1928 to Alfred and Margaret Harris. She was married to Robert Vondorous Bowie Jr. and was a devoted and loving mother to their three children: Anthony (Tony), Steve, and Michelle (Shelby).
Mrs. Bowie attended Lincoln High School Kansas City, MO. She came to Christ as a child and was a member of Palestine Missionary Baptist Church for more than fifty years. She loved and trusted the Lord and served Him by witnessing to the elderly with the Nursing Home Ministry, singing in the church choir and teaching Vacation Bible School. Last year when her health began to fail, Mrs. Bowie moved to Omaha, NE to live with her daughter.
On December 1, 2011, Mrs. Bowie entered eternal rest. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, William Harris and Raymond Harris; sister, Helen Harris brother and her husband of forty-six years, Robert V. Bowie, Jr.
