María Ramona Anselma Marcelina Yorba y Alvarado was born at Rancho Santa Ana, Alta California, México, and baptized at Mission San Gabriel April 22, 1828 (SG Baptism 07512, ECPP). Godparents were Joseph Chapman and María Guadalupe Ortega. She was the daughter of Bernardo Antonio Yorba y Grijalva and María de Jesús de los Dolores Alvarado y Amador. María married Benito (Benjamin) Davis Wilson of Tennessee at Mission San Gabriel February 19, 1844 (SG Marriage 01966, ECPP). María was buried at the (Old) Calvary Cemetery May 22, 1849. She was reinterred to the Yorba Cemetery in April 1923 when the (Old) Calvary Cemetery was condemned.
