Services were in Richerson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Archie Cooper, pastor of the presbyterian Church of McLean officiating. Burial is in the Shamrock Cemetery

Mr. Hembree moved to the Lela Community in 1929 from Alabama. He was a Methodist, a farmer and custom farm operator.

Survivors include his wife Estelle of the home. Two daughters, Mrs. Edwyna Rohlfing of Beatrice, Neb., and Patsy Hembree of Shamrock; two sons, Jerry and Jackie Hembree, both of McLean; two sisters, Mrs. Lottie White and Mrs. Virgil Johnston, both of Shawnee, Ok. and six grandchildren.
