She married Raymond Rohlfing, her high school sweetheart on July 4, 1958. After living in Weatherford, Okla., Erick, Okla., Borger, Texas, Cactus, Texas and Dumas, Texas, they moved to Beatrice in August of 1966. She and Raymond welcomed four boys to their family (after many attempts to have a girl).
Since 1964, she was a member of Beta Sigma Phi Sorority (Nebraska Torchbearer Beta chapter) and enjoyed spending time with her sorority sisters, helping others and just having fun. Edwyna was a member of the Centenary United Methodist Church of Beatrice and was a Sunday and Vacation Bible School teacher. She participated in both women's and mixed leagues bowling at Henry's Bowl and Tonka Lanes. She enjoyed traveling, playing cards, reading, sewing and annual family trips to Colorado for skiing. She also enjoyed watching her sons' sporting events, such as football, baseball, swimming, bowling and track. Her grandchildren and her great-grandchildren were the highlights of her life. She was never happier than on Christmas Eve, when all her kids and grandkids were in the house singing and dancing up a storm.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Edwin "Pete" and Estelle Troxell Hembree; brother, Jackie Dale Hembree; and great-granddaughter, Regan Lee Rohlfing.
