Catharine Sabilla, wife of Samuel D. Adams, of Markelville, died suddenly at her home last Tuesday afternoon. About ten days prior to her death Mrs. Adams gave birth to a son but she appeared to be getting along nicely, and at the time she died she was talking to an elder son. She was aged 34 years, 4 months and 8 days.
Mrs. Adams was the daughter of the late Joseph L. and Barbara (Burrell) Hutchinson and was born in Tuscarora township. She is the third of her family to meet an untimely death within 19 months, her father being found dead in bed September 18, 1917, and her brother, John L. Hutchinson, having been accidentally drowned while bathing at Leesburg, Va., May 23, 1918. October 15, 1914, she and Mr. Adams were united in marriage at the Lutheran parsonage, New Bloomfield, by the Rev. J. W. Weeter. Beside her husband and children, Charles, Catherine and young son, she is survived by her aged mother, who made her home with her daughter since the death of her husband. Mrs. Adams was a member of the Methodist church, a kind and loving mother, who will be sadly missed in her family circle.
Funeral services were held Friday afternoon at her late home at 1 o'clock. Interment in Newport cemetery.
