Putnam Courier, Carmel, NY: Mrs. Glenna M. "Nan" Lockwood, 81, of Potter Hollow, NY, died Sept. 30 in St. Peter's Hospital, Albany, after a long illness. A native of Mahopac Falls, where she lived most of her life, Mrs. Lockwood was the widow of Horace Lockwood, a former Carmel supervisor. She was a charter member of the Mahopac Volunteer Fire Department's Ladies Auxiliary, a member of the Mahopac Grange and a member of St. John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church in Mahopac. Mrs. Lockwood was born Oct. 25, 1906, in Mahopac Falls, the daughter of Nathaniel and Susan Sackrider Tompkins. She had been a telephone operator at Lincoln Hall in Somers, retiring in 1976. She had lived in Potter Hollow for two years. She is survived by one child, Joan Hyatt of Potter Hollow; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Burial was at Ballard-Barrett cemetery, Mahopac.
