Orlethia E. Abbott, age 96, passed away January 4, 2013. She was preceded in death by her husband Orval Abbott; and son Ronald Abbott. She is survived by 2 daughters, 1 son, 10 grandchildren, and 6 great grandchildren. A visitation will be held Tuesday January 8, 2013 from 4-6PM at Fairmount Mortuary. Funeral Services will be held on January 9, 2013 at 10:30 AM at St. Stephen's Episcopal Church 1 Delmar Circle, Aurora, CO 80011. In lieu of flowers the family prefers contributions to St. Stephen's Episcopal Church.

Orlethia was the daughter of Carl Harry Wolfe and Emma Marie Herchenhan. She had one brother, Lawrence Robert Wolfe, who passed away in 2012.
Orlethia grew up in Columbus, Nebraska and graduated from Columbus High School in 1934. She went to Stevens College in Columbus, Missouri for 2 years, then onto the University of Nebraska in Lincoln. Orlethia taught 1st & 2nd grade in Hyannis as well as Edgar, Nebraska; she worked for the Alliance Schools in Alliance, Nebraska, where she taught disabled children.
She married Orval Earl Abbott April 5, 1941 at St. Matthews Episcopal Church in Alliance, Nebraska, previous to Orval enlisting in the Army.
