CHUSTZ, BETTY ANN SHARON

Born in Baton Rouge July 6, 1933, she was a four-year resident of Ollie Steele Burden Nursing Home, where she passed away at 1 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 8, 2004. She was a former resident of Addis. Visiting at Wilbert Funeral Home, Plaquemine, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday. Other arrangements are pending. Survived by her husband, Eldridge Joseph "Bro" Chustz of Addis; daughter and son-in-law, Donna Chustz Kirkland and Allen Joseph Kirkland of Addis; and three grandchildren, Dustin Charles Kirkland of Austin, Texas, and Lindsy Alain Kirkland and Leigh Ann Allyn Kirkland, both of Addis. Also survived by her mother, Rita Mayon Sharon, a longtime resident of Addis and currently residing in St. Clare Manor; and a brother, James Sharon of Sorrento. Preceded in death by her father, John Otis Sharon Sr.; and three brothers, John Otis Sharon Jr., Leland "L.C." Sharon and infant brother, Allen Joseph Sharon. Betty was best known for her giving heart, high energy and loving smile. She was a retired bank branch manager of Bank One, formerly Premier Bank and Louisiana National Bank. She was a member of the National Association of Banking Women and St. John the Baptist Church, where she was actively involved in her earlier years. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Alzheimer's Association.
