Mrs. John C. Brode
Mrs. Ella Brode, 62 years old, wife of John C. Brode, well known resident of Cumberland, died suddenly at 10 o'clock this morning at her home, 30 North Centre street. Death is believed to have been due to a heart attack. Beside her husband, who was formerly a member of the Cumberland Police force, she is survived by three sons, Gerald Brode, William L. Brode, and John C. Brode, Jr., and two daughters, Misses Mary J. and Angela Brode, and a brother, William Fitzgerald.
Mrs. Brode was apparently in the best of health this morning and her death was a shock to her immediate family and many friends. Funeral services will be held at 9 o'clock Saturday morning at SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, where a requiem high mass will be celebrated. The family requests that flowers be omitted.
