Funeral services for Gussie Mae Sturkie Greene Arban, 78, of Williston, SC will be held three p.m., Monday, January 7, 2013 in the Folk Funeral Home Chapel with burial in the Joyce Branch Section of the Williston Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:30 p.m. until the time of service on Monday at the funeral home and other times at the home of Linda and Gean Bridgmon. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent in Mrs. Gussie's memory to Elko Baptist Church General Fund, P.O. Box 277, Elko, SC 29826 or American Cancer Society, 128 Stonemark Lane, Columbia, SC 29210. Mrs. Gussie passed away Friday, January 4, 2013.
Born in Aiken, SC she was a daughter of the late Allen G. Sturkie and Cleo Gunter Sturkie and was first married to the late Henry Edward Greene and was the widow of Bill Arban. She retired from Williston Manufacturing as a sewing machine operator, was a faithful member of Elko Baptist Church and member of the Clara Hitt Sunday School Class.
