Fred Elbert Deardorff, son of Ellis and Emma Jenkins Deardorff was born Apr. 11, 1900, near Yale, in Guthrie county, and died at the home of his son, Orville, Oct. 13, in Bagley, after a brief illness. He was the sixth child in a family of nine children. In early life he united with the Church of the Brethren. On Dec. 24:1925, he was united in marriage to Lucille Griffin.
