Dolores McNeill, age 89 of Bagley, passed away on Friday, August 16, 2019 at the University of Iowa Hospitals & Clinics in Iowa City. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, August 20, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. at the Carris Family Funeral Home & Cremation Care in Perry. Visitation will be on Monday, August 19, 2019 from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. with family present to greet friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Carris Family Funeral Home & Cremation Care in Perry. Burial will be in the Richland Township Cemetery near Bagley, IA. Memorials will be given to family and may be left at the Carris Family Funeral Home & Cremation Care.

Dolores Maxine McNeill was born on January 9, 1930 in Bagley, IA to Fred and Lucille (Griffin) Deardorff. She attended country school and then the Bagley Community School. She was united in marriage to Charles L. McNeill in Jefferson, IA on December 11, 1947. She worked with her husband at Charles L. McNeill Shelling and Trucking for 55 years, working dispatch, keeping books, hauling livestock, grain and cooking meals.

She attended the Cooper United Methodist Church. She enjoyed piecing quilts, loved going to her grandkid’s activities, feeding birds and working in her flower garden.

In death she rejoins her husband Charles, parents, Fred and Lucille, son, Donald McNeill, sister, Sandy Hamlin and a brother, Orville Deardorff.

Left to cherish Dolores’s memory are her, children, Ronald (Marcia) McNeill, Bagley, IA and a daughter, Cheryl (Keith) Killmer, Perry, IA, grandchildren, Troy (Nan) McNeill, Dawne (Randy) Meyer, Rhonda McNeill, Rochelle (Tony) Meister, Kelli Killmer, Kerri (Jason) Thomas, Kevin (Holly) Killmer, great grandchildren, Amber (Tyler McWilliams) and Hunter (Chloe) McNeill, Austin and Dalton Meyer, Hannah and Avery Meister, Kade, Macy and Kain Killmer, Hayden and Will Thomas, siblings, Charlotte Stanley, Elgin, IL and Judy (George) Knapp, Panora, IA.
