On November 4, 1880 she married in her birthtown Bedum, province Groningen, the one year older Jan Siemens Dijk, who was born in Thesinge, municipality Ten Boer, province Groningen too.
From 1881 until 1897 they had in Thesinge nine children. In May 1882 their only daughter was born, Trientje Dijk. She was the only family member who didn't emigrate in 1904 to the USA. She married in 1906 Jan Heidema and died in 1914 in Thesinge.
On March 21, 1904 Fijlina (47 years old) and her husband, farmer Jan Dijk (48) arrived with seven sons, Pieter (22, farmer), Jan (17, farmer), Arend (14, farmer), Willem (12), Lambertus (9), Hendrik (7) and Harm Pieter (6) on the S.S. Potsdam at Ellis Island, New York. Their last residence place in the Netherlands was Thesinge and their destination was Fijlina's brother P. van Dijken in Gallatin Valley, located in the southwestern part of Montana. On April 19, 1904 son Simen Dijk (19, farmer) arrived on the S.S. Noordam at the port of New York, Ellis Island. His last residence place in the Netherlands was also Thesinge and his destination was Manhattan, Gallatin County, Montana, where his parents were living.
In November 1906 her husband Jan Dijk was a farmer too.
In March 1909 Füliena died at the age of 52 years in Montana, Gallatin County, Manhattan.
In January 1914 her widower John S. Dijk remarried at the age of 57 years in Chicago, Cook County, Illinois the one year older widow Ange Hoving, maidenname Anje Evenhuis (1854 Groningen, Netherlands - 1951 Illinois, USA).
In August 1924 her widower John Dyk died at the age of almost 69 years in Manhattan, Gallatin County, Montana.
