Mrs. Anna Mary Atkinson, 83, of 3249 Chestnut Avenue, Baltimore, died yesterday morning at her home. She had been in ill health for the past year. A native of Eckhart, she was a daughter of the late William and Margaret (Porter) Kirby. Her husband, Harry Walter Atkinson, died in January of this year. She was a member of St. Thomas Catholic Church in Hampden, a suburb of Baltimore. Surviving are four sons, Harry W. Atkinson Jr., Cleveland; James, Earl, and Gorman Atkinson, all of Baltimore; five daughters, Mrs. Floyd M. DeVore and Mrs. June McCullough, both of Cumberland; Mrs. Edward Parker, Jacksonville, Fla.; Mrs. Madeline Norris, Baltimore, and Mrs. Harold Striegel, Chicago, Ill.; one sister, Mrs. Ellen Noland, Cumberland; one brother, John Kirby, Cleveland, Ohio; 21 grandchildren, and 44 great-grandchildren. The body is at the Hafer Funeral Home, Cumberland, where friends will be received today and tomorrow from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Requiem mass will be celebrated Wednesday at 9 a.m. at St. Patrick's Catholic Church. Interment will be in Frostburg Memorial Park. The Rosary will be recited tomorrow at 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
