A quiet wedding took place Wednesday morning [February 22] at St. Patrick's church when Miss Loretta Byrnes, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Byrnes, became the wife of Mr. Willis J. Barber. Rev. John Smith performed the wedding ceremony. The bride wore a pretty gown of soft white silk and carried a cluster of white carnations. Her only attendant was her sister, Miss Lillian Byrnes of Red Oak, Ia. She wore a simple gown of blue masseline. Mr. Patrick McGovern of South Omaha, was the best man. Following the ceremony a wedding breakfast was served to the bridal party at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Byrnes. The young couple took the morning train for Kansas City. They will be at home at 1120 North Twenty-seventh street after March 1. The out-of-town guests were Mrs. J. P. Kelly of Denver and Miss Lillian Byrnes of Red Oak.
