Ronald Joseph Dietz was born March 23, 1931, in Chicago, Illinois, the second son of Grover Joseph Dietz (1892-1969) and Eleanor Marie Ahlbach (1900-1946). He married Rose Mary Pape on June 13, 1953, at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church in Chicago. He had six children and nine grandchildren. He died June 18, 1994.
