View overlooking original Fell Cemetery - the "empty" field in foreground is actually the common burial area of about 1838-1889. While no stones are readliy visible, there were many burials here and this picture is intended to honor those so buried without headstones to mark their spot. April 13, 2007

Information area at Fell Cemetery, located just inside the main entrance. Information is given about location of graves, the Veterans' Monument, and donations/memorial gifts made to Fell Cemetery are recognized.

Veteran's Monument at Fell Cemetery, Iowa to honor those who served their country between 1861-1917. A list of those so honored is engraved in bronze; the list is incomplete due to the lack of burial records at the time the monument was placed. Those who served and died in the Civil War were likely buried without headstones, so their location in unknown in the old Fell Cemetery of 1839-1889.
