These are some of the rows of what were called"Individual Mausoleums", that were developed and sold by a company in Aurora, IN. They were originally cement but many today are made of granite. Instead of a vault, these "Individual Mausoleums" are set into the ground to "lid" level. The company would put them in the ground so the person could see what they would look like, although now they are not put in until the person dies. (It appears this was a not a widespread practice, but I have seen some in KY, not far away bunnygirl). - This info provided by the cemetery sexton.
