The SAINT PAUL LUTHERAN CEMETERY is located within the City of Wyoming on the northwest corner of 267th Street and Finley Avenue.
I reconciled all the markers and names in this cemetery using MN death records, previous transcriptions, and photographs to identify (and correct some of) the names of those individuals who are buried here. If you do not see a photograph posted on a memorial, no visible marker was found for that interment.
There are three physical markers without names or dates engraved and these are identified as "Unknown" in this list.
It was not until April 14, 1882 that the members of the church legally purchased the present church and cemetery site for $20. The deed states the land was purchased from William B and Sarah W Conant. The deed was signed by Chris Lendt and Henry Sauers, trustees of the German Lutheran Church of Wyoming, MN. Some time before 1916 the name of the church was changed to Saint Paul's Lutheran Church of Wyoming.
In the year 1900 the old log church was torn down and replaced by a frame building. There was no pulpit but an altar built by Martin Verges stood on a small platform, which extended across the front of the church.
