Of special interest is the single grave enclosure wall and inscribed fieldstone marking a Blair burial. This marker, in addition to being inscribed, is hand hewn into a peaked top. The wall is approximately 2-foot high and is made of unmortared natural fieldstones which are laid in regular courses. Woolsey Cemetery includes some of the oldest pioneer families of the region. Family names represented on the engraved markers are Woolsey, Blair and Pace.
Presently the cemetery is completely wooded. In addition to the natural vegetation, there are four or five dead cedars which were probably the original ornamentals. The cemetery landscape includes a fairly thick periwinkle undergrowth.
From the Visitor Center, go out the South Entrance Road to the intersection with Rt. 70, approximately 2.9 miles. Take a right onto Rt. 70 and go one mile. Park along the side of the road. Set compass due south and hike into the Park one half-mile. You will eventually reach a ridge. Follow the ridge top to the high point of the ridge. Woolsey will be clearly visible.
