This is located at the Entrance to Bellevue Cemetery and Danville National Cemetery. Danville National Cemetery is located at the top left corner of the board. Underneath this table is two books listing burials by year of death and location of grave.

The "Danville National Cemetery"; side view.

This is one of the "original" 13 National Cemeteries. They were established in 1868; in order to have the deceased US troops honored in one area.

This photo is of the Confederate Cemetery plot. This picture was taken in 2010 by Andy Bryant.

There are approximately 68 Confederate soldiers buried there. They were NOT allowed to be buried in the "Danville National Cemetery" across the pathway; because they were the "enemy".

This plot was donated in 1868, by the local railroad agent who had purchased it for his family plot. He felt sympathy for these fallen men and he donated his plot for their final resting place.

Many of their individual descendent
family members, to this day, have no knowledge where their ancestors now rest.

I have made it my personal mission and honor, to identify each of them and "bring them home".
