The building is still being used for Sunday services.

Hopewell was founded in 1829. In 1849 the log Church was replaced by a frame building and after a farm house fire of one of the members in 1927 all records of the early church were lost. The well worn pews in the church have been there since 1876. The pews are seperated for men and woman as was the orginal intent. The church is located in Moreau Township Sec 29, Twp 43 R 16. It is located 2 miles south of State Hwy C.
