East Point Baptist Church still under construction. This is the third church building. The Chosen Few Quartet sang a concert in the church January 3, 2004. When the bass singer, Scott Fraker, finished singing "How Great Thou Art" the whole congregation stood at the same time in applause. When everyone stood, the floor came loose from the wall and separated about three inches. Therefore, a new church needed to be built to replace the old one. View from East Point Cemetery

The first East Point Baptist Church building located in the center of East Point Cemetery. The members tore the church down in two days, July 15-16, 1930, board by board and square nail by square nail. They carried the boards across the road and rebuilt the church on the hill.
