On April 10th, 1907, James and Elizabeth Hemphill deeded a triangular lot of land at the intersection of the Old Philadelphia Road (now Strasburg Road) and the Old Philadelphia and West Chester and Philadelphia Road (now West Chester pike) to a group of trustees "to erect a house of worship for Baptists." This group of Regular Associated Baptists erected their meeting house that same year.
As the church grew, land was added to the grounds in 1877 and 1954, and to accommodate additional expansion, 63 graves were relocated in 1957.
In 1968, the church had outgrown its home, and a new lot near Milltown, East Goshen Township was purchased for a new building. With aid from the Joseph E. Boyd Funeral Home, 172 graves were dug up and the individuals reinterred in a new cemetery on the property. The original stones were preserved and erected over the new graves.
In 1970, the church sold this old ground for a gas station. Today, a bank occupies the site.
