There is more than one Armstrong Cemetery in Shelby County, IL. This Cemetery is located on the NE corner of the SE 1/4 of Section 11, Herrick Twp. It is on private land. It is on a point of timber about 200 yards almost directly west of a stone bridge over Polecat Creek. It is on high ground in the timber between two fields and Polecat Creek and an unnamed creek. There is one row of stones and 7 graves. This cemetery was found by Ed Boedecker and is documented in his book 'Inscriptions of Shelby County, Illinois Cemeteries, Volume 8' located at the Shelby County Historical and Genealogical Society.
