Add PhotosWhen information from the few visible markers was recorded Spring 2002, this was a very badly overgrown area, a long ways off the road, in a field near a pond. Cannot be seen from Lasker Rd and if not shown (by owner of land, as was I, or farmer tending the land) the location may be impossible to find.
There were only 2 visible markers that could be accessed and even then it was extremely difficult to get to those markers to read the info for the individuals buried there. These 2 were, fortunately, very close to the edge of the cemetery: Eliza Draper Lassiter and Annie May Lassiter Askew. In addition to these 2 markers, there was an adult cement slab with no information visible as to individual, as well as remains of a wooden grave house with no information.
The area was very large, though badly overgrown, and rather than take the chance of getting hurt trying to locate more markers, determined that research through death certificates, word of mouth, family association, etc would suffice for others buried in this location.
