REMOVED TO PAWTUXET MEMORIAL PARK (WK005 + WK142)


This cemetery was originally located in Hills Grove, 150 ft. west of Blackburn Street at telephone pole #7, now the site of the United Parcel Service terminal. It was removed to the old section of the Park in June of 1971. It contained 25 burials with six marble stones and 18 fieldstones. James N. Arnold visited it 27 Sept. 1891: "On the Battey farm north of Hills Grove well walled, neglected." The stones have now been set up in two rows. However, they are mixed in and not in order. Recorded by John Sterling for a book on Warwick cemeteries.
